Early beginnings:
As the grandchild of maternal and paternal grandfathers in the electrical, mechanical, plumbing and construction business, I grew up helping on job sites. I was a curious kid and lucky to have both grandfathers mentor me. What they didn’t teach me, my incredibly generous and talented Uncle did. They were there every step of the way, guiding me and helping me to hone my skills.
The integrity and pride they took, no matter how small the job, was unparalleled. Collectively these men shaped my life and set a wonderous example. The work ethic they instilled set the foundation for how I conduct my business today.
My introduction to the world of irrigation:
Every successful venture starts with a passion. Mine is no exception. I was a “water rat.” Pool, ocean,
boat, lake … it didn’t matter. Irrigation quickly populated my water resume when in 2002, at the age of 15, my parents contracted for an irrigation system at our home. It piqued my curiosity, and I became the unofficial “right hand man” on the project.
Upon completion, the contractor offered me a job. Fast forward, that experience laid the foundation for securing a job at age 17 with a large scale residential and commercial irrigation company based out of Suffolk County.
My knowledge base broadened and within two years I progressed to managing all contracted service repair work. Shortly after I was promoted to lead technician, supervising a team of technicians and responsible for designing, estimating, and managing all trouble shooting issues.
In 2022, with all the credentials needed, I ventured out into a partnership with an irrigation company. With a difference in business objectives, my partner and I parted ways and in 2024, Grand Bay Irrigation was born.
